Dear EMPG participants

Set in a rich agricultural province of the South-west of France, Toulouse is known as the pink city made of bricks. Toulouse is also well known in France for its sweet living atmosphere and its great gastronomic and cultural history. It is an important aerospace centre and the home of the Airbus consortium.
The university of Toulouse has a long tradition in experimental geochemistry and mineralogy and is pleased to welcome the 13th International Conference on Experimental Mineralogy Petrology and Geochemistry (EMPG).

The scientific program covers all the themes of Experimentation in Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry, with special emphasis on fluid-rock interaction, physics and chemistry of minerals and melts and planetary science which are among the specialities developed in Toulouse. For this 13th edition of the EMPG, we would like to strengthen the link between experimental approaches and theoretical simulations especially thus focused on mechanism processes in earth materials. For this purpose we deliberately open the theme sessions to any contribution presenting numerical work if it has a link with an experimental approach.

Welcome to Toulouse and the 13th EMPG conference
